Research and Development Projects for a Bright, Sustainable and Circular Energy Future
Our Current Research Topics
Fuel Preparation
The critical challenge for small-scale waste-to-energy conversion is the variability in the nature of alternative fuel sources. All waste streams react differently in different circumstances, which can cause multiple problems for fast thermochemical conversion.
Gas Cleaning
Depending on the ways in which gas is used, there are different purity, calorific, and tar standards that need to be sustained in order to ensure cleanliness and safety. Pure gas combustion is currently the lowest in terms of these factors, and usage in a ceramic Solid Oxide Fuel Cell is the highest standard.
Gas Conversion
There are always new technologies evolving in the field of gas to electricity conversion - from the classic use of engines, to steam engines, ORC, Free Piston Engines, and/or Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.
